'They weren’t... good neighbors:' Person adopts the kind polydactyl cat that their neighbors cruelly abandoned, and she shows her gratitude by making herself right at home

Cats are family. Everyone who has a cat or is thinking about adopting a cat should know that. Cats are family, and they have to be treated like it. You wouldn't abandon your child, therefore, you shouldn't abandon your cat either. And if you are someone who would abandon their child, maybe you shouldn't have cats. Not everyone deserves cats. Not everyone deserves that pure ray of sunshine and calmness living in their home. And these neighbors definitely didn't deserve their fluffball. 

We can only say, when we read stories about people abandoning cats like this, is that we are happy there are also people out there who do the right thing and take these poor cats in. We can't even imagine the trauma and hurt that an abandoned cat goes through when that happens to them, and although you wouldn't be able to erase the pain entirely, at least you would keep them safe and away from the scary and dangerous streets. Thank you to the person who adopted the cat in this story. Thank you a million times over.

  • We don't know how anyone could abandon their family like this. It doesn't matter how long they had her or how far they were moving, leaving her to fend for herself is unacceptable. If they could not take her along, then the least they could have done was find her a new home.

    shinyidolomantis I hate people that do this with a PASSION. I've lived in the same place for like 8 years and I'm on my fourth previously-owned-by-a-neighbor cat who just got left behind when they moved. I also found one that was left behind near my work a home as well as found a home for a kitten that was thrown out of a moving car the night before a huge winter storm with multiple below zero days in a row. People can truly s k! Glad this baby has a loving home now.

  • We're glad to see that other people in the comments agree. They didn't deserve her, and we hope that they are not planning on adopting any other cats any time soon, because they probably wouldn't deserve them either. Her real forever home is with her new owners, and we are sure she will be much happier there.
