We don't know how anyone could abandon their family like this. It doesn't matter how long they had her or how far they were moving, leaving her to fend for herself is unacceptable. If they could not take her along, then the least they could have done was find her a new home.

We're glad to see that other people in the comments agree. They didn't deserve her, and we hope that they are not planning on adopting any other cats any time soon, because they probably wouldn't deserve them either. Her real forever home is with her new owners, and we are sure she will be much happier there.
