Becoming a mother is a beautiful thing, and the road to birth is equally as beautiful—but boy, can it be stressful and tense sometimes. Pregnancy hormones influence mood swings that are only exacerbated by stressful individuals. A woman's best bet during the late stages of her pregnancy is to keep her circle peaceful, small, and supportive as she prepares to help bring her child into the world. There's nothing more beautiful than that, yet others will try their best to make your pregnancy all about them. Yes, even family.

The mother-to-be in this story refuses to allow her mother-in-law and sister-in-law to see her newborn in the delivery room and perhaps, even after that, because of the way they behaved before, during, and after her baby shower. There's nothing more telling of a person's character than when they act like they have the reigns over your life events, and the mother-to-be's husband is paying the price for his family's blatant entitlement.
