'He came from a terrible home': Wholesome woman saves a sweet senior Siamese, furever-homing him

When the cat "immediately started purring", according to this woman sharing her experience on Reddit with the entire online feline family. We already know of a lot of signs the CDS gives a hooman to know that the cat that's right in front of them is going home with them, furever - but this sweet senior Siamese has a little different story than most cats.

Mostly, when going to a shelter to adopt, most people will take a smol and cute kitten. And don't get us wrong - these kitties sure do need to be homed like any other cat - but sometimes, it leaves little interest in the older cats still stuck in shelter life. Old cats, especially those who have already known a home before, and sometimes abandoned to a shelter, are definitely in need to be in a loving home again. But in some rare cases, like in this woman's story - the older cat came from a very rough beginning before ending in a shelter - when he was 10…

But this story is a sweet one, almost like this cat, named Chester by his new hooman mama. Despite having a very rough life, eventually ending up in a shelter, scared, this woman took this lovely boy in - for a furever home. As Chester settles in, like the sweet senior boy he is, his hooman mama tells the online feline family about his heartwrenching and heartwarming story. And, oh boy, it's one worth telling. We're honestly so grateful for people opening their hearts and homes and adopting old kitties - because they deserve all love!

Besides this wholesome woman having a big heart and a kind soul, she has great taste in music. Both adopting an older kitty and commemorating Chester Bennington? We appreciate this combo very much. Makes us want to blast Linkin Park songs in the office today.
