AITA for not letting my girlfriend have a slice of my birthday cake after what she did last year?

This man is insane. I love how he says, “I didn't make a big deal out of it.” Bro, you held onto it for a year and got petty revenge when she asked you for a slice of cake. It's making the biggest deal possible out of it. Also, it's just a cake. Just ask your mommy to bake you another, it doesn't have to be for your birthday.

This couple should obviously break up. They clearly hate each other and don't have any level of communication. Even when the girlfriend is mad the first thing she does it just not speak to him. Sounds healthy. On a separate note, who eats a whole cake by themselves?

Boyfriend withholds birthday cake from girlfriend due to a year long grudge, she accuses him of being petty and refuses to speak to him: “After what happened last year this one’s all mine”
Relationships aren't a piece of cake – pun intended. We have to put a lot of work in all the time to sustain a healthy and happy partnership. Through the tenuous ups and downs, we find out things about ourselves we didn't know were there. Being in a relationship is like looking into a mirror. We see a different side of ourselves that we never saw before. We access a mentality, an emotional side, or a petulant side when we're faced with interpersonal problems we never knew we'd have to deal with.
It can be difficult to know how to handle situations when it's your first relationship. As time goes on, and the more relationships you go through, the better you become at balancing yourself and your emotions.
But like I said, it's never a piece of cake. Take the couple below, for example. The man held onto a grudge against his girlfriend for a year all over a stupid slice of cake. Instead of just talking to her about it when it happened, he bottled it up and waited for the opportune chance to get back at her. People are crazy.
