I am a very forgetful person. Sometimes, when I am telling a story to a group of friends, I might embellish a little. Embellish isn't quite the right word, actually, because it implies that I am trying to make the story more interesting. It's usually moreso that I fill in the gaps when it comes to inconsequential details. For example, if I say something I bought cost $30, the receipt wadded up at the bottom of my purse might prove otherwise – it was $34.99.

In our story today, our protagonist has a similar habit. However, she can never catch a break with her chronic corrector boyfriend constantly interrupting her to prove her wrong – even in front of friends and family. It gets to bad that she starts to feel like a liar. He doesn't seem to be doing it on purpose and isn't particularly responsive when she tries to bring it up.
