Woman tells off 29-year-old "trad-wife" TikToker: 'Nobody cares if she has a husband and kids'

This TikToker sounds completely insufferable, and her cousin has had enough of her constant put-downs. 

"Trad-wife" content is a popular side of TikTok. It's full of women in airy sundresses picking flowers, gently cleaning the house, making bread, and tenderly caring for their toddlers. It's a curated scene of one type of motherhood: picturesque and focused on crafting content around their traditional values. As a trad-wife, or traditional wife, these women make a show of being perfect stay-at-home wives who cook, clean, care for the kids, and are basically the perfect spouses to their husbands. Well, they do all of those things on camera. In real life, the reality of these traditional families are much different. They're exaggerating their lives for TikTok, and many are playing a character. 

This woman and her "trad-wife" TikToker cousin are at odds over this. It's not that the TikToker is wrong for being a trad-wife or producing that type of content. But instead, she's started telling everyone around her what she thinks about them. She's trying to make them feel inferior to her, because she thinks this is the best way to run your life. For some people, the traditional lifestyle is a good option, but you can't just go around telling people that they're living their lives wrong just because you don't personally like it.

    Even if this woman didn't take a stand against her cousin, she sounds so insufferable that someone else around her would've said something. You can't just go around telling childless women to have kids, or career-focused women that they're not living fulfilling lives if they aren't married. Actually, you can be more than one thing! You can have a career and a family; you can be a good mom and be a boss. This isn't the 1950s anymore!
