Entitled boss expects employee to take his dog home every night because of his apartment's no pet policy, then threatens employee's job security when she refuses: ‘I was done’

Animals aren't party favors—they need effective love and care the same way you'd take care of a child. They can't tell us what's bothering them at any given time, but it's safe to say that a golden retriever wouldn't want to spend their days holed up in an office and couch surfing every night because their owner lives in a no-pet apartment.

Such is the case in this story, but the owner in question is the employee who posted this story's boss. The employee refuses the boss's plea because she owns cats (and is allowed to say no to requests that cross her work/life boundaries). Now, however, her boss is indirectly threatening her job security, and she doesn't know which steps to take moving forward. Does she risk her role to defend others who might be in a similar position at her company, or crack and take care of the poor golden retriever because they don't have an owner who's willing to do it themselves?
