10-year marriage crumbles when wife finds out that husband's young "cousin" they've been raising is actually his biological daughter: "He let me open my heart to her under false pretenses"

Even within a marriage, people are entitled to their privacy and their "secrets," so long as the confidential matter doesn't lead to lies or impact the relationship negatively. For example, I have a close friend that still plays Neopets. She doesn't really keep it a total secret from her husband, but he has no idea how much time she has invested into this game that she has been playing since girlhood. While she loves her husband and spending time with him, she wants this activity – accumulating massive amounts of Neopoints – to be something that she engages in alone.

In our story today, a 10-year relationship comes to an end when our protagonist finds out that the little girl they have been raising for years is actually his daughter. She was introduced to our protagonist as her husband's cousin, and he even got the girl to refer to them as "uncle" and "aunty."
