Hey there ladies and gentlemen of the internet. We all have different relationships with our grandparents. Some of us grew up spending so much time with our grandparents that they're almost like our second parents. They filled the spot of babysitter, and were constantly on call for us. Some people even took trips with their grandparents, or had relationships that were so close that they share endless memories together, and can even come to them for support or advice. Some of us on the other hand were never close with our grandparents. For some, they were just old people they saw a few times a year and nothing more. Maybe they sat there during Christmas dinner, but outside of that there wasn't anything deeper. Family dynamics vary greatly, and it's important to understand the roles they have in our lives.

In the story below, the protagonist is a woman who's not very close with her stepmother. Her stepmother has a knack for pushing boundaries and disrespecting her. It gets to the point where the stepmother tells her stepdaughter's young children that she's going to take them to Disneyworld, even though it's a lie.

This grandmother is really sticking her nose where she shouldn't. Instead of respecting the fact that her stepdaughter already said no to the family vacation to Orlando, she insists on forcing it upon her. Telling the children was an act of betrayal, and it was on purpose to rile up the situation.
