Mom of two kids cuts 17-year-old daughter's sleepover short by kicking her friends out after they invade 14-year-old stepson's privacy: "There were tears in his eyes"

I really miss having sleepovers. In theory, as an adult, I can have as many sleepovers as I want. However, as I have gotten older, I have come to value the comfort of my home. I'd rather go home to my own bed than stay anywhere else. It's not even about the falling asleep part – it's about the waking up part. Sure, I could host a sleepover at my home, in theory. But I would also rather wake up to an empty – apart from my partner – apartment in the morning. Can you tell that I am an introvert? In an ideal world, I could fall asleep at a friend's house and then teleport to my own bed in the middle of the night.

In our story today, a handful of teen girls are having their own sleepover. Our protagonist, one of the teens' moms,  is totally down to host. She only asks that they follow a few rules: keep the noise level down at night and don't bother the stepbrother. Unfortunately, the girls in question do not adhere to the simple restrictions.
