How can anyone exist like that? I'm not sure what this woman feels like is missing from her life, or what she needs to work out in therapy, but I think it's not normal to want to sacrifice the safety and comfort of your home to be a daycare. When does she unwind? Relax? Or feel comfortable? Home should be a sanctuary.

"Our living room has been converted into a classroom": Wife insists on keeping open in-home daycare despite husband's discomfort, he tells her to close it and she refuses
Most people want children. I guess it's that whole "furthering the human race" thing. Evolutionarily, it makes sense. If people didn't want to have children the we could all say goodbye to the year 2125. Despite the evolutionary call to reproduce, logistically, financially, emotionally, and physically it's just an absolute nightmare. I never wanted kids, I still don't, and I genuinely can't imagine why people would.
Okay, there are those little moments with my niece or friend's kid that make me oh and aw at the cuteness of kids. But to have one all the time? To devote your entire life to it? I'm not sure it's for me. Once you have kids, it's not really something you can take back.
In the story below, the protagonist is a husband and father whose wife has an in-home daycare. I had to double take when I read that, because how on earth can someone sacrifice the comfort and safety of their home for it to be an actual daycare? Read the full story below.
