AITA for making everyone feel uncomfortable at a family BBQ because people insisted on treating me like a child?

"Is this some kind of sick joke in the family?" 30-year-old woman abruptly leaves in-laws BBQ after mother-in-law humiliates her in front of everyone, husband takes her side
I always say that when you marry someone, you don't just marry the person, but you marry their whole family. Think about all the family dinners, the holidays, and even the logistics that go into marrying someone and spending time with their family. It's not something you can avoid. I've read over countless horror stories of controlling MIL's, domineering FIL's, or just bratty siblings of the husband or wife. I got so lucky when I married in that I adore my husband's family. His parents are the loveliest people, They treat me like their fifth child, and I always know they will have our best interest. His siblings are sweet too. I'm especially close with his youngest sister. Even though she's 15 years younger than me, we get along so well, and even share clothes sometimes.
In the story below, the protagonist is a woman whose up to her limit with her husband's family. They're hosting a family BBQ, but her MIL is making it impossible for her to help her.
