"We have no clue what we're doing": Couple pays deranged man $2 to save two kittens from his bizarre demand, now they're pawrents raising the rescues to be a very fluffy feline family

Howdy, feline fam. We wish we could start off this listicle with something boring like, "This is just another pawfectly wholesome rescue story", but we can't. It's absurd and bizarre, but at the very least, it has a happy ending! This couple didn't find their cat on their roof crying for help, nor did they find the kitten scared in highway traffic, but they found them on the street in a pawsitively precarious pawsition. They were being held by a man (under the influence) who wanted to do one thing: he wanted to eat them!

The couple convinced the man to give them the kittens for just two dollars, and they saved these cats from a potentially terrible situation. Now, these are first-time cat owners. They jumped right into the deep end with two stray kittens, but we're sure they're going to do great. Scroll down to read more comments about this meowraculous save below!

    In the immediate term: no cow's milk ever, water, wet kitten food. I haven't a clue on if they need bathroom help but if they do, a warm wet wash cloth on the after eating is the starting point.

  • This is the sign of truly good people - they put those kittens' priority above their own. They may not know how to care for kittens, or be prepurred in the slightest, but they knew they would figure it out because it was the right thing to do. They had to.

    Keep them warm, provide soft blankets and maybe a pet heating pad depending on your weather & their ages.

    ObliviouslyDrake67 Heyo, not an expert just an avid animal caretaker, they look old enough for semi solid food. Wet food for kittens and you can get some kitten chow and soften it with tap water.

    Cat litter and box is a necessity, if they outside of the box, make a point of putting it in the litter box, they will get the gist of it. Even dig a bit with the scoop to show them how to bury it. It will take a few tries but that's the fun of litter training without an older cat.

    Timel... Make sure to get them fixed before they turn 4-6 months, or you will end up with more and more kittens!

  • Yes, this is true - the last thing we need is more kittens on the street! The best part is that most places do it for very cheap or at a reduced price, especially if they are strays.

    Also shots are really important, especially if they go outside. You can get them at a feed store and administrator them yourself for like 7 bucks a piece.

    Make sure they always have access to fresh clean water, cats are dessert creatures, and will di of kidney failure if they don't have clean water. Notoriously picky about clean water, it's why they drink from the sink/toilet etc.

    I'd buy a laser pointer from the dollar tree and a couple of toy mice. Hours and hours of cheap entertainment! Never underestimate the power of an empty box either. Good Luck! You got this. Thanks for being a savior to animals
