Whenever we read anything about elderly dogs, we are reminded of this viral thread comparing humans to the elves in Tolkien's "The Lord of The Rings", in our dogs' eyes. When you think about it, it makes sense: Our doggos may live with us, just as humans and the other races live in Middle-earth alongside the elves, who seem almost immortal to the others. Dogs may live alongside us, but they might see us barely getting older, hardly any grey in our hair, while they live their full lives, from smol puppies to sweet seniors.

And that might make us kind of sad, thinking about how our beloved puppies, once sprite and lively (and sometimes downright mischievous), become slow, tired, and old. For some, it's near heartbreaking. But as true dog lovers, we all have a solution that works wonders for every pawrty involved. And that is… a puppy.

When you let your dog adopt another dog, a young and active puppy, you can see the puppyhood spring right back to your elderly pupper. It's like doggo magic at work. And that's exactly what this one Labrador pawrent shared with the online canine community, who in turn shared their own heartwarming stories of their older dogs spriting back to life with a younger doggo sibling. Looking at older dogs doing activities that are actually physically active with their younger doggo sibling is such a happy sight. We cannot stop smiling seeing this pair of Labradors. Our day is definitely better.
