With great rewards, however, come great tribulations. The pregnant mother of two explains that she cannot commit to an early Saturday morning soccer meet every week for her four-year-old daughter, to her husband and her in-laws' dismay. If her husband and in-laws want their very young child to join group sports, they can take the four-year-old themselves, right? You'd think so…

Of course, some might say that a parent of two with another on the way must adjust to a packed schedule; this is true, yes, but one usually expects help from their partner and extended family, especially if both parties insist upon keeping the children's schedules packed. The woman also deals with narcolepsy, so fatigue is a constant feeling for her. She explains that Saturdays are her only days without commitments, and she wants to keep it that way. Sometimes, you have to be selfish to protect your mental health. Additionally, a four-year-old can benefit from some downtime with their mother—lazy Saturdays are among the best days for family bonding.
