After discovering their driver stole their AirPods, passenger tracks him down and confronts the thief in public, forcing him to return the AirPods: ‘He awkwardly handed them to me’

Uber and Lyft drivers must always find lost goods in the back of their cars at the end of the day. Most of the time, the lost times are probably not that interesting, like a bottle of water or a hair tie. But every now and then, surely they find a really valuable item, especially to the person who left it there.

A decent person would find the lost time and attempt to return it to the owner, but as we all know, there are not a lot of decent people out there, like the driver in the story below. When his passenger forgot their AirPods in the back of his car, he blatantly lied to them that he didn't find them and kept the AirPods to himself.

However, he forgot that Find My exists, and that the passenger could see anywhere her AirPods were going. Refusing to let the driver get away with his theft, the passenger tracked his movements until they had the opportunity to confront him in person.

And confront him they did…

    Compulawyer Nice job. I personally would have made him pay for a new pair after verifying he stole them. I'd never use a pair of earbuds after they had been used by a stranger. I also would have reported it to the police right there and later to Lyft.
