00 4 Hello, I'm Junwoo and I'm 4 months old. Today, I am going to the U.S. with my mom and grandmom to see my aunt. I'm a little bit nervous and scary because it's my first flight in my life, which means that I may cry or make too much noise. will try to go quietly, though I can't make any promises.. Please excuse me. So my mom prepared little goodie bag for you! it has some candies and earplugs. Please use it when it's too noisy because of me. Enjoy your trip. Thank you. :)

They also sell headphones and earplugs in the airport, if you feel like paying 10x more than usual

Creative_Ad9485 Okay. I'm gonna say it. We've been flying for decades. Babies come with the territory. Noise cancelling headphones can be incredibly cheap on Amazon. If you don't have them, that's on you.

SwanRonson This isn't a touching gesture, it's a sad commentary on humanity. It's awful that folks with babies feel compelled to apologize in advance and spend their hard earned money for the potential inconvenience a small human without the ability to regulate their emotions may cause.

philllthedude With a gesture like that who could be mad at the lady or the kid? I like to think basic kindness and humanity is dead, things like this show me it's not. 10/10 traveler, 25/10 mom.

bebopblues I had an extremely long flight with an infant and a toddler once. Spent the entire flight worrying about pissed off passengers nearby. When the plane landed, I apologized to them if we made their flight uncomfortable. None of them were bothered and said they hardly heard any crying.

The lesson here is in most cases, the only way babies are annoying to other people is when the parents aren't doing the best to attend to babies' needs or the parents are not considerate of other passengers' comfort. When you are doing your job as a parent, in most cases, the other passengers will not even care that there's a baby near where they are sitting.
