Every once in a while, the Cat Distribution System sends out an urgent, priority delivery - usually disguised as a scruffy little stranger with big eyes, bigger bravery, and absolutely zero respect for personal boundaries. And that's exactly how Bruce arrived: he simply walked into someone's apartment and adopted himself on the spot. No hesitation. No appointment. Just pure feline confidence.

Cats have a remarkable instinct for choosing their humans, and Bruce chose wisely. Instead of being shooed away or ignored, he was greeted with compassion, a warm embrace, and immediate help. That takes a big heart - not everyone can look at a frail, hungry cat and say "Okay, you live here now. Let's fix this".

And yes, Bruce needed fixing. His tail was severely injured and required surgery, and later an emergency procedure when complications set in. But here's where the story turns into something beautiful: every time Bruce needed help, his new human rose to the occasion. Vet visits, long nights, sleepless hours, emotional stress - none of it scared his new person away. Bruce asked for help the only way he knew how: by walking right inside and refusing to leave. And someone listened.

Today, Bruce is safe, warm, eating breakfast like a true champion of house cats, and well on his way back to full health. It's the perfect reminder that sometimes, rescuing a cat is really just saying "yes" when a little soul decides they belong with you. And sometimes, the Cat Distribution System delivers exactly where they'll be loved most.

First of all, calling a cat Bruce automatically makes us think of a chonker with a big build. We don't know why. But here's an actual Bruce - and he sort of fits the bill. He needs to gain a few more pounds, but the hearty hooman who adopted him is working on it. What a lovely start.

Oooooo baby, smol baby, tiny baby. Yeah, we know this is an adult cat, but look at his baby-ness. It's such a wholesome thing to know that even if this cat struggled, he's now on the trajectory to becoming a spoiled house king - like every cat deserves.
