A young woman and her mother live in a trailer park, but in separate trailers. The young woman is the protagonist, and she really stresses how important it is for her to live alone. She lives alone for a reason, and she likes her peace and quiet. Even though her mom lives right next door, they've developed an agreement that she contacts her over the phone before just randomly showing up. 

But everything changes when her uncle joins them. He moves in with the mom to get back on his feet, and that's when things turn ugly. The uncle doesn't have the same understandings about privacy and peace that his niece has. She really doesn't like to be bothered, and he's come knocking on her door. She ignores him, but wonders if it's the right thing to do.
