'She really kinda just flung the first one': Dog mom saves her two puppers from raging fire by throwing them out a two story window before herself

As a pawrent, you know that you would do anything pawssible to save your pets. We hope we are never put in a situation where we have to choose, but if we did, we would 100% put their well-being first. Even if it means throwing them out of a two-story window, like the dog mom from the Philippines in the video below. Her apartment building caught fire and was set to destroy everything inside. Not being able to find a way out, she had one choice left: take a risk.

Luckily, there were people waiting outside her window to help her, and so, she did what any mom would do: she first saved her fur babies, and then herself. She tossed her puppers out the window for the firefighters to catch, and then, as the fire was approaching, she hurled herself over to just barely avoid getting swallowed by the flames. She safely made it down with the help of a ladder and a firefighter. We all breathed a collective sigh of relief after watching all this occur, and we cannot finish this article without applauding her bravery. 

It looks like something out of a movie, but instead of choreography and pyrotechnics, it's just a woman selflessly caring for her children before herself. Watch the whole thing below!

  • Our dog is almost 60 pounds. Unfortunately, this wouldn't work the same way for us. We'd have to find another solution, but by golly, we would find one. Maybe we would lower her down in a bucket or something. You'd be surprised how inventive you can be when you have no other option.

  • Honestly, the scariest part would be getting down ourselves. We're not so good with heights, even when there's something scarier that could happen. Us and ladders are not friends.

    bendIVfem • 11h ago . Not sure how feasible or practical it is but cant buildings have more rescue/evacuation built in. Like with this building, if every unit could have a rope that can clip on to the railing there... less practical but mini oxygen tanks w masks in safety compartments.. unless im ignorant of existing mechanism, im sure much better can be done.
