'An early Christmas miracle': Feline fan rescues floofy kitten from freezing temperatures while decorating their tree, making this year's festivities extra fuzzy

You can't hang this star at the top of your tree, but it certainly will make your house extra bright this holiday season!

While listening to "Charlie Brown Christmas" and decorating their tree, one feline fan found an unexpected surprise in the freezing cold. They came back inside with a floofy black kitten, and it was in pawsitively rough shape. Its belly hair was frozen, its eyes were not in a good state, and it would not have survived much longer in those frigid temperatures. However, after some care from the vet and a whole lot of love, this fuzzy kitten is already feeling much better!

In all seriousness, though, a lot of cats and kittens are trying to survive outside this winter. Cats aren't meant to brave winter winds and cold weather, so if you see one, please stop to help it - even if it's just giving it a place to sleep inside your garage or bathroom until the weather warms up. This act of kindness could save their life.

They haven't picked a name for him yet, but even without a name, this smol baby is already the star of their household. And, he was brought together with this hooman at the purrfect time - a time when spirits are high, houses are warm, and gifts are being given out! We think he may be the best gift of all, though.

    His eyes were crusted and frozen shut, his belly fur was frozen, he had fleas, worms, and upper respiratory infection. He is currently on meds and living in our bathroom until he's healthy and we can test for FEV.

    He still doesn't have a name but we were decorating the tree and listening to Charlie Brown Christmas the night we found him. We also saw a fox run along the road on the way to the vet. We think he's going to be all black but it looks like he has grey on his belly and maybe a red tint? Any name suggestions?

  • It's such a small thing, to take in a kitten and give it a home. But for that kitten, you changed the course of their lives. In an instant, they went from being constantly worried about what their next meal would be to never having to be hungry ever again. From running away at every unexpected sound to sleeping without a single fear in the world. Sure, they may have to deal with us putting them in some uncomfortable outfits and the occasional bath, but it's much better than life on the streets!
