Person finds a lonely but friendly feline, takes her to the vet where she charms the staff, who find she's pregnant
There are always clear signs that the Cat Distribution System has sent you a cat. You'll hear a meow from a nearby bush while you walk in the street, you'll start having nightly visits on your balcony, or you'll just suddenly realise you could take any of the strays you're taking care of home - and finally adopt a cat like you've wanted. But sometimes, the cat will have a certain urgency, like the CDS is trying to close all loose ends before the holidays.

Spayed cat suddenly gives birth, her owner demands an explanation from the vet, instead gets told that the cat needs a second spaying she has to pay for it
Spaying or neutering indoor cats is one of the most important things that you need to do. We say that to every person we know who is adopting a cat. You don't want them getting hormonal and trying to escape the house multiple times a year, and you definitely don't want them coming home pregnant if they do escape. Of course, most of us here are responsible, so we make sure that this happens. But of course, we are not in the operating room with the vets, and so, in a way, we put our trust in the vet to do what has to be done.

Person goes to shelter to adopt a kitten, instead ends up falling in love with a 17-year-old senior cat who has been at the shelter for 2 years, waiting for her forever home
Adopting a senior cat is one of the kindest things that any person can do. Everyone loves a kitten, of course. Kittens are meowgical in their own ways. But there is a certain kind of meowgic to senior cats as well. Senior cats make such great pets. And that is something that we think you can only really understand once you live with one.

'We adopted this massive unit from a shelter. All the families with children didn't want [this cat] due to his sheer size. He's a gentle giant.'
Going to the local shelter to adopt a cat is something we admire. People who choose to adopt a cat are the people we want to meet, shake their hand, tell them how awesome they are, and then go pet their cat they've just adopted. When you open your heart and home like that to a cat in need, you're definitely doing a good deed - and that's admirable.

The heartwarming tale of Jalapeño the spicy kitten who went from feisty feline to cuddle catto almost instantly after being rescued from the stray life, leaving her new pawrents
Some feline stories are so gripping you would think that they were actually movie plots. And the story that we have lined up for you today is most certainly one of those. An emotional rollercoaster involving a stray cat, a man about town who knows how to hang with the hoomans as well as his feline brethren. He is joined by a momma cat in trouble who cannot find a safe way to raise her cute kitten on the streets and when she comes to the conclusion that her kitten deserves a better life she turns to the stray cat for support.

Black kitten runs into woman's car, adopts her and her 3 dogs, and has all of them obsessed with her tininess instantly
The cat distribution system is never wrong. That is what we have learned from this story and so many others. Of course, sometimes the CDS works during strange hours and has strange delivery methods. Like when some adopted a kitten during a 2 AM picnic, or like when that kitten flew in through someone's window out of absolutely nowhere, like when that Starbucks barista got handed a kitten via the drivethrough window. It may be weird, it may be unexpected, but it always works. Always, somehow, no matter how inconvenient, the kitten endd up in the home that she was supposed to be in.
