Entitled nail client demands priority over loyal customers after learning her nail tech is taking wedding-leave, despite being warned to book in advance, she storms out when denied, losing their services for good: 'Demanded I just switch her with someone'

We all know the beauty salon is filled with all sorts of characters:

We've seen it all: The town gossip, the 4th-time divorcee, the 50-year-old woman who dresses like she's 20, and the 20-year-old girl who looks like she's 50…and that's just the regulars…

Yet, it never seems to amaze us that most people who come to beauty salons expect every employee to work on their timeline, as if they're the ones signing off their paychecks. Regardless of any bookings made or schedules followed. We like to call them me-ladies and me-men…"Oh, but can't you just squeeze me in," or "Surely you can just switch my appointment with hers?"

And…when these me-men and women don't get their way, it's like taking the last piece of candy away from a spoiled 6-year-old child: life-ending, and somewhat dangerous…

But no matter how persistently entitled clients attempt to intimidate employees, it's important for them to remember that whoever came up with the quote "The customer is always right"  must not have been around to witness the development of The Karen. Now, times have changed, and so should the level of disrespect that the service industry is willing to endure daily.
