‘Everyone is telling me it’s the cat distribution system and that she chose me’: Cautious cat lover hesitant to adopt cat that walked through his window, discovers she was a lost emotional support cat and reunites the senior kitty with her family

We are often led to believe that any cat who walks into our home is a Cat Distribution Delivery, but as you will come to find in this story, that is not always the case and we ought to be more aware.

Cats, unlike pretty much any other animal, are pretty sure that this world belongs to them. It does not matter that we drive the cars, give them the food and pay for all the bills. They still think they run the joint. Which means that a cat with the right amount of charm and charisma will have little to no issue sauntering into your home in the hopes of getting a feeding. Which is pretty much exactly what happened to an unsuspecting hooman one day, when a cat just walked through his window.

And while the people around him were sure that they were looking at a case of the CDS this hooman understood the nature of cats on a deeper level than those around him. For he knew that this was not the way a CDS delivery feels and wasted no time in finding the cat's actual family before he fell in love with it and would end up stealing it. A worthwhile lesson for all of us.

We have to say that this is one clever hooman. Most cat lovers would be blindsided by how cute and charismatic it is for a seemingly stray cat to causally walk through their window, into their lives and heart. But the truth is always a little different than the perceived reality. And this clever hooman was right to not believe the sugary sweet lies that he was being fed from those around him. Sure it would have been really nice to believe that the CDS just threw a cat through his window, but sometimes it's better to know better.

Not gonna lie, if we were this owner we would strongly be considering disowning our sons. What kind of madness is it that you leave your hooman children to provide the most minimal of care for your cat child only to have them mess that up and the cat get loose. Unless, that is, that it was their plan all along to get rid of the cat and get back much of the attention and affection that they had lost to the cat. Jealousy is a tough thing to handle and when you are being bested by a cat who looks set to inherit your mother’s untold fortunes then who is to say what is reasonable and what isnt…
