Massage therapist calls out boss for unfair 40% pay cut, he fires her and tries to get away with not paying her unemployment: 'He claimed that I had quit by refusing his 'generous offer'"

This masseuse had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with a boss who kept trying to cheat his employees.

It turns out that everyone, including your massage therapists, can find themselves in a toxic, unstable workplace environment. This author left her small, locally owned spa for what seemed like a better opportunity for her. Little did she know that her new boss and his wife were bad with money and, as a result, untrustworthy when it came to compensating their employees fairly.

These owners repeatedly tried to change their payment structures. Eventually, the author figured out that every time they did this, it was actually an attempt at paying their employees less and less, but under the guise of reorganization. It got to the point where the author couldn't take any more of these changes and decided to call her boss out directly on what he was trying to get away with.

She calculated how his most recent announcement would affect her pay and learned that she would essentially be receiving a 40% pay cut as a result of these changes. She knew that this was not an accident and realized that she was going to have to take matters into her own hands.
