It may be true that some educators just aren't cut out for the job, which is why they can't last in the classroom. However, more often than not, this mixture of external factors is what gets to even the most qualified and gifted of teachers. To be able to teach means that you must have the ability to put up with a high level of irritation, and it doesn't always come from the places where you would most expect it.
In theory, it should be a good thing when parents take a keen interest in their child's school experience, but many teachers do not feel that the reality is all that great. One coach and high school teacher took to sharing some of the emails that parents of his students had sent him, and many of their complaints and worries were a sight to behold. It's no wonder that there is such a determined minority who choose to homeschool.
