We think that there is something about putting this out into the universe that makes the CDS look at you again. But you have to mean it. You can't just say that, secretly hoping that a cat will be distributed to you by the system. You have to actually not want another cat. The second you truly feel that - and for people like us, who always want more cats, that's a nearly impawssible feeling to achieve - is when you will be chosen. It happens like that more often than you think. So, we think we can call it a rule at this point.

This is what we call self-awareness. It's what we call being involved in the community. It's called actually understanding cats. This person knew, the same way that we know the same thing about ourselves, that the second the cat was in their house, there was no way back. Up until then, maybe it was possible, but the second the kitty set foot inside, it had a hold on their heart forever. It's a good thing that the system works both ways, because the kitty is happy to be safe inside, and we are always happy to have them in our homes, safe and sound.
