After finding a limping kitten in her parking garage, a woman turns to the online feline family for support when her vet and husband turn against the rescue: ‘Don't listen to your vet, who clearly doesn't care for cats.’

This cat defies every odd, and defines what it's like when even a pawfessional vet can be so wrong about them.

Every cat lover has this corner in their mind that's reserved for a specific alarm that blares up when a cat in need is right in front of us. It's this intrusive thought that goes something like "I can't leave this cat. They need my help, and I have the capacity to care for them. I can make this cat's life better." It's usually the result of the Cat Distribution System activating it, as if every cat lover is a sleeper agent for cat rescues.

This is exactly what this one woman describes - because against all odds and (ill) advice, she keeps the tiny kitten she found in her building's parking garage. The kitten was in such an unideal state, but this alarm in her head didn't allow her to let go. This woman took this kitten's care into her loving hands, and practically acted as if she had already adopted him.

But the problems didn't end here. With a very confused veterinarian's advice, and a reluctant husband, she's facing a front of feline resistance. But she's strong-willed, and her cat love knows no bounds. All we have left to do is wish her and her new kitten the best life pspspssible.

Looking at a cat that gives their human that look - you know this cat is hooked. They're in love. They're where they belong. This is the human, in their eyes. So seeing this cutie patootie giving this look to this kind lady, knowing her husband is reluctant to take him in, kind of breaks our hearts. But we sincerely hope this will turn out to be a “cat and dad” classic situation.
And honestly, looking into a cat's loving eyes is a heart-melting situation. Any cat lover can attest to that. Looking into those huge Shrek's Puss in Boots eyes can cause an effect that's psychologically similar to looking at a round, cute, and absolutely adorable baby's face. It's no wonder that people describe their cats as their babies - it's true! Cats are, for all intents and purposes, teeny tiny babies with fur. Their meows are equal to a baby's language skills anyway.

We're laughing at this very sound advice. We already know that choosing a cat over a partner is the correct way of handling an ultimatum sort of situation, but here we're talking about a very long marriage of a couple who already have a cat together. No one can blame the husband for not liking cats. But… maybe a little empathy for another cat is needed here? Even the resident cat is happy with the new kitten - which already says a lot. Because having a cat like a new kitten in their territory is hard work as it is. But their original cat sounds like a lovebug for accepting the kitten so quickly.
