In real life, flipping a home takes so much time and money that full-time flippers have to act fast if they ever want to turn a profit. They take that "move fast and break things" mentality a little too far at times, as this very nice person is learning, thanks to their neighbor's decision to chop down their trees!

This person shared a few interesting facts in the comments that I'll add here! For one, the area that the couple “renovated" was maintained for 25 years, which just goes to show that these trees aren't easily replaced. This person also noted that the couple is working as an LLC, not as individuals… who knows if that'll make it easier or harder during the lawsuit!
And, as they also noted, they won't be satisfied with just a “couple of nice fruit trees” in response. This couple has done real damage, as you'll see in the rest of the story.

People had a bunch of advice for this person

Starting with: stop being so nice! These people are literally destroying your property. We ALL want nice neighbor relations, but, as some people shared in a reality check with this person, flippers aren't exactly neighbors, are they? They usually show up to work on the house as needed, then leave and go back to their own homes. They're only at that house long enough to change it… and then, they're onto the next property. They're not going to be baking this person fresh cookies and swapping stories with them because they are straight-up disinterested in becoming neighborly pals.
