When a sweet ball of fluff turns up on your property, and when that ball turns to you and smiles, you know that you are in for one special rescue.

And we are pleased to say that this pawrent knew they were in for a special encounter from the moment that dog's mouth stretched across its face in a show of endearment. It is no normal event, this doggo smiling business, it is a rarity and one of the most coveted canine traits. One that can win over hearts in an instant and change the perception of cat lovers in a moment, one we were delighted to find on Reddit's r/Dachshund subreddit.

Which is why we are so excited to share this story with you. A story that tells the tale of the pawfect pupper who somehow nobody wanted and how she ended up finding her way to a family who would love and pawtect her throughout her life. A true zero to hero story, the likes of which Hollywood has not seen since Slumdog Millionaire.

  • Well, talk about a golden child situation eh? Just as it happens in hooman families. Often the pawrents are not expecting to take on a third child as their other kids are getting on a bit. But then that wonder offspring arrives and brings with it nothing but peace, happiness and harmony. A joy that no amount of money can buy and an appreciation for the joys of raising a child the likes of which you did not have with your previous kids. Sure, not everyone wins in this deal, especially not the two older canine siblings. But you do have to at least feel a little delighted for these doggo pawrents who have just taken into their home one of the more special puppers we have heard about.

  • You know, with all this genealogy talk, we have to wonder to ourselves if maybe this doggo has no breed. Maybe they are just the result of pure pupper good. Yes, we know, there is no such breed of doggo, hear us out. If there is such a thing as the Doggo Distribution System dealing in doggos who need a home, is there not a chance that as well as being in the business of placing doggo in pawfect homes, that they might also deal in distributing pawfect puppers of their own creation? Thereby making it a real possibility that there would be a dog breed based on pure goodness, just like this doggo.
