A representation of the friend's perfect life

I want to start off by saying nobody really knows what’s going on inside another person’s life. It might seem all too perfect on Instagram and maybe in real life, but behind closed doors, who knows? Besides, for us, having a partner might be the ultimate goal, but for the person who has it, the ultimate goal might be achieving a salary like ours, or having a brand new washing machine, it can be anything. Let’s try to redefine the word perfect, or the phrase ‘having it all’. We might know what we want, but they can be very much unfulfilled with what they’ve got. I remember a long time ago, when I had a boyfriend, I used to get that kind of comments a lot, like I had the best boyfriend and we were so perfect and everything, and it’s true he was a great person and we were, all in all, a good couple, but I wasn’t happy in that relationship, and I had much trouble in my life back then, so again, not everything it’s what it seems.

I think jealousy can be a really good compass pointing us in the direction of our desires. A friend like that can become someone to closely observe and learn from. Of course, our path is unique, and nothing can be copy-pasted into our lives like that, but with a little effort and self-analysis, we can find our own way to get it and realize our feelings are not really related to our friends, but to some much deeper frustration with ourselves, one jealousy is alerting us about, and can help us get through.
