Entitled caller screams at a law firm receptionist for being a "typical woman" after she can't give him directions, then walks into his interview and realizes she's the person at the front desk: 'He turned beet red'

What are the chances of insulting the same person you'll need later?

This story looks like it was taken out of a TV show. A law firm receptionist was new in town and wasn't familiar with the area. So, when a man called for directions on how to get to the office, he got upset when he realized she couldn't help him. He insulted her, called her a "typical stupid woman," and hung up the phone. Later that day, he showed up to the office because he had an interview. Once he realized she was the woman he insulted… let's just say he turned as red as a tomato.

I love it when life ends up helping people get the revenge they deserve. In the case of this woman, I'm sure she felt absolutely great when the man who mistreated her was a job applicant who wanted a position in the law firm. Isn't that the best outcome possible for her?

But, besides the conflict and the revenge, I think this story is a good example of how we have to treat strangers, because we never know where life will take us. In this case, it took him a couple of hours to encounter her again, so I'm pretty sure he must have regretted his terrible behaviour.

Life is short, and this is a very small world. We can meet people randomly who may end up becoming our future bosses or even our parents-in-law. We have no clue about fate or destiny, so being mindful of our manners and behavior is key for our future.

  • As I mentioned above, we can never be too careful with the way we treat people. We never know if we'll meet them again, so we have to make sure we are respectful and polite. This man may have ruined his chances of landing a good job by insulting the very receptionist who showed him to the interview room. Life can be crazy sometimes...
