TikToker Goes Viral For Mocking the Wealthy by Turning Bleak-Colored Children's Items Into Nihilistic Humor

TikToker “That Sad Beige Lady” aka @sadbeige first caught our eye with her hilarious take on the all-white bouncy castle for kids. However, this wasn't her first time ragging on the rich for shoving existential crisis down their children's throats. The now-viral content creator took on the voice of Werner Herzog, a serious German dramatic film director, selling sad children's items back in the fall of 2021. Since then she's continued the series and gotten millions and millions of views. And recently, she posted that she was interview by Elle magazine for her TikTok comedy series.

She doesn't spend all her time making comedic gold on TikTok, however. She is also an advocate for foster care and adoption education—even posting about her own experience working within the system. So, though it's the Werner Herzog “Sad Beige” posts that make her go viral, any of her 106.8k followers can also learn how to potentially help a child in need.

The first introduction to Werner Herzog's children's line:

“Säd Beige Clöthes, for Säd Beige Childrün”

Her voiceovers truly are hysterical, putting on a very serious german accent and bringing out the nihilism of these children's items. These things are actual items being sold for actual children and are a current fashion craze within the higher tax bracket crowd.

“Wee more like Ennui”

Werner Herzog introduces primary colors:

Light-up sneakers and colorful onesies are obviously for the poor. Bright and fun colors only cover up the existential dread that forms around living in a capitalistic society. High society children choose to sit and contemplate, rather than play and ignore the woes of living.
