As a side note - we love that even allergic people take part in saving cats' lives. It takes much more effort and energy on their part, but they don't let their symptoms ruin their sacred mission of finding cats their forever home. We honestly respect them so much, even if they could never raise cats of their own. Their hearts are in a good place.

That's usually the next step in any CDS cat delivery - the dreaded vet visit. But as much as cats may be afraid of the vet, it's necessary to a point that it's a legit step in any CDS adoption process. At the vet, you get all the information needed to care for a cat that seemingly came out of nowhere: you don't know what sort of life they've led, and what ailments they might carry with them. And you want to care for them, don't you? That's where the vet comes in - it's such an important milestone in the rags-to-riches concept, because a healthy cat is a rich cat.
Another important thing, no less important than any health check, is that the vet has the option to scan for a chip. First of all, we wholeheartedly recommend you chip your cats - even if they're 100% indoor kings and queens. You never know when it's going ot come in handy. And second of all, if you've had a CDS delivery of a cat of someone else, and you discover it through a chip scan, it means the CDS employs you as an agent. This is the chivalrous job of returning a cat home safely, to the arms of the person who loves them. So, yes - a chip scan is also super needed.

We have to stop there for a second and appreciate that this specific CDS boy is officially named Pippin. Peregrin "Pippin" Took is a hobbit and a main character in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. He is the youngest member of the Fellowship of the Ring, known for his youthful curiosity, impulsive antics, and deep courage that's revealed later in the story. He's also known for his long and best friendship with Merry, his fellow trouble-making hobbit. And we're just wondering, will this Pippin find his Merry too?
