Customer at work found this little darling at the far end of the parking lot completely alone. She was trying to hide it in her shirt, as we do not allow pets.

She saw i was watching her and admitted she had a kitten in her shirt. I am "That grumpy old man" at my work, so everyone assumed I would promptly kick her out. Even I can't be that mean, so we all let is slide.

As she was checking out she admitted she could NOT take care of a cat, and asked if anyone else could. I came home with a cat. Need name suggestions!

EDIT: Going to call her Primrose, leaning into the more poetic uses...like a perfect little flower popping out of the leaves.

Broke Papa OP Thank you, but I fell in love the second her tiny ears came into sight. I'm in a place in life where I am happy and able to give her a good life. She got her couch, scratch post w/ play tunnel, tiny little single serve "for kitten" soft food, etc. etc. on my way home from work. Calling my vet mon. to set her first appt. The "grumpy old man" thing is just a work perspective out of necessity, I'm really just a sleepy old bear.

redskyatnight2162 How lucky that she was found.

justagiraffe111 Thanks for adopting her! She even got her own little sofa. You're a great dad! This post is like a scene out of a movie where we find out the curmudgeon has a golden heart for animals.

All_is_a_conspiracy Sounds to me like you're not all that grumpy at all....and this little munchkin is going to make you even MORE cuddly. Congratulations mister. I hope your little heart gets so much love and cuddles and purrs that your chest can barely contain it all. Big hugs to you and your new best friend.

RamGuy1824 I consider myself to be a grumpy old man in training, ESPECIALLY at work. We can still be grouchy old dudes and be kind to cats. Thanks for helping this kitty!

New Heron_5985 I had a 16 year old Calico named Cali. She was sweet yet had the calico cattitude. She was with me thru the absolute hardest times in my life, all 3 times I had cancer and the passing of my dad. She was beautiful and I miss her so much. The CDS always knows when to deliver, it's when you need it the most.

AmanitaAwakening Yay for 'grumpy old men' (or women). You tend to have the biggest of hearts. In polish we say 'soft heart, tough a '.1 digress. I'd call her star.

Thank you CDS. You may discover that you need her even more than she needs you This feels like a meant to be scenario. All the best in your long, fulfilling future together →
