The first trailer for next year's Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice just leaked online. Originally set for a Monday release, the internet Gods decided instead to put up a horrible hand-held Portuguese subtitled mess up instead.
Warner Bros responded to the leak by giving us the real thing, and lets just say the film quality wasn't the only thing horrible about the teaser.
Here's everything you wanted to see in Batman vs. Superman, and everything they gave us, instead.
Here's The Leaked Trailer Itself, Now Released in Real Quality by Warner BrosThings You Wanted to See:
Jesse Eisenberg's Weird Bald HeadWe know Lex Luthor is in this movie, and he's a pretty iconic villain. Should we show him? Probably not.
Gal Gadot as Wonder WomanYou know how The Avengers have no super-powered female heroes!? Well we have Wonder Woman, sure would be nice to get her out in front early to set us apart!
Khal Drogo's Wet MusclesWe've been making some smart casting choices. This movie is the first time in decades that Aquaman won't just be a joke to mainstream audiences. Plus, he's easy on the eyes. Let's save that for later.
Any Sort of ActionFinally a match-up between two iconic figures, and there's nary a punch to be seen.
I know it's a teaser, but frankly I feel pretty un-teased by the whole thing, because frankly...
Here's What They Gave Us:
Neil deGrasse TysonNothing says DC Universe like the internet's favorite astrophysicist!
A Jeremy Irons Scar-Like Monolgue"That's how it starts. The fever, the rage... the feeling of powerlessness, that turns good men cruel."
Looks like Alfred Pennyworth will be just as philosophical as always. Let's just hope Irons will Be Prepared...
This Beautiful Batman Line"Do you bleed?" That's a great line, Bruce. Were you watching Spike TV late last night? Arnold would be proud.
THIS!Alright... That's actually pretty cool. Should've listened to Papa Kent, Clark.
Guess it's too late now.
Here's What Twitter Has To SayBatman v Superman Trailer
All in all the teaser was just another cliche news report of talking heads having different opinions of superheroes, you know, like the end of The Avengers. As far as teaser's go, it's pretty mediocre. If only there was a recent trailer that does a much better job at actually teasing really iconographic imagery without spoiling any plot points. Hmmmm... what would that look like?
