Paralyzed stray pup picked up by van life couple learns to run and swim again thanks to pawrental perseverance and a dashing doggy wheelchair

The stories of travellers coming across canines in horrifying conditions all over the third world are unending. Whether it be dogs on the brink left to rot and fester, or dogs like the one in this story who suffered a collision with a car and were left to drag their limp lower half around for the rest of their lives. But the ending you rarely hear in those stories is 'and we took the dog home with us', which is exactly what we finally get to hear in this heartwarming tale.

There is little denying the fact that street dogs in the third world have it really tough. Unlike in our plush first world communities there are no shelters or rescues available to help and process doggos, heck more often than not there is no animal control at all. People have to fend for themselves if something comes along to try and monch their livestock. But what all of this means is that aside from the hungry dogs all over, when a pup gets into real trouble, there is no one to help it.

A fact which this story's paralyzed pupper seemed to be rather well aware of when it hobbled over to the hoomans who would become its pawrents. Effectively choosing them to be her new home and claiming her hoomans along the way. And thank goodness she did, in doing so she was taken care of for the first time in her life and got to experience the very sensations that were taken away from her once more.

But just because reattaching a spine is impossible, that does not mean that running is not on the cards, and with the support of her pawrents a doggo wheelchair has made a world of difference in this downtrodden doggo’s life.
