Man Returns Home After a 12-hour Shift, And His Roommate’s Girlfriend Had Thrown Away His Food: ‘She’d thrown away my frozen pizzas, Hot Pockets, and chips because they are "literal poison," and she wanted the apartment to eat cleaner’

I swear to God, this is somewhat normal behaviour in the 'fitness community'. Why are they so obsessed with making everyone else follow their strict eating habits and rules?

When I was young (like 3 years ago), I lived with a bunch of roommates in a big house in the center of my town. In that house, there lived a vegan guy (he was 45, by the way) who basically ran the place. He didn't own the house, but he had lived there longer than the rest of us, so he spoke directly to the landlord and handled most administrative tasks.

This gave him a relative position of power over us, so one day, he decided his vegan journey forbade him from sharing a house with meat-eaters. Of course, he didn't call us meat-eaters but used another word that starts with a k, and basically kicked all of us out of the house.

I was mesmerised, and I couldn't understand how someone could be apparently so 'empathetic' with animals, and not empathetic at all when it came to humans.  I guess it's part of the vegan or fitness bias. When you think you're doing the right thing, or coming from the right place, you aren't as afraid to do certain questionable things. You subconsciously believe you know what's best for everyone, and that you are helping them or teaching them something by kicking them out of a house or throwing away their stuff.

Honestly, I think these people need to be put in their place and develop some serious empathy skills. That can only be done by speaking to them in very strong terms that reinforce the concept of tolerance. Everyone should be allowed to make their own choices, even if they are bad!

Do you think this man was wrong in what he said to his roommate's girlfriend? I think he should've gotten a free meal after this incident (to say the least).
I struggle to imagine what the girlfriend's thought process was.
