The first time I ever visited a haunted house was a couple of years ago. A friend of mine convinced me to go to a theme park in which they had built 8 haunted houses, in celebration of Halloween. The place was packed, and everyone was having fun. Bright lights, spooky music, and very well-trained horror actors. Every Halloween fan in there was absolutely having the best time. I, on the other hand, was not. I love Halloween, and I do think it is the perfect season to rewatch all the horror movie classics, but now looking back, it was not such a great idea to do so right before going to an activity based on making you scared. Needless to say, the actor in the place didn’t have to work very hard to make me run away screaming.
Also, credit where credit’s due, whoever organized and put together those haunted houses is a true pro. The decoration was on point, acting was flawless, and every single costume in that place looked absolutely real. It was so good and well put together that now I know I’m never going back.

I do admire my friends who don’t get scared at all when the lights suddenly turn off after watching a horror classic. That is just another level of bravery. For example, I never understood how the main characters in these movies decide to walk into these haunted places. I struggled enough as it is walking into fake haunted places after paying a ticket to be there. If I were the main character, the movie would be over in the first 10 minutes because nothing in the world could make me walk into those spooky-looking abandoned houses. Enjoy this collection and make sure to come back to it after watching a movie that was a little too scary. There is nothing a good laughter session in the company of your friendly ghost can’t solve. Also, when someone invites you to yet another haunted house, share this list with them instead and turn the screaming into laughing out loud.
