Skulls Appear in a Woman's New Backyard During a Rainstorm, TikTok Finds Previous Owners of the House and Uncovers the Truth

Imagine moving into a new home and finally getting settled in. Then a rainstorm happens, and as your staring out of your window onto your backyard, you start noticing skulls popping out of the muddy ground… WTH?? This is exactly what happened to TikToker Emily Hoffman aka @mothmanbelievesinu.

As Hoffman went outside to investigate what were definitely multiple skulls popping up in her backyard, she realizes they're not cadaver skulls and that they were actually made out of cement. Still, there were several of them and they were only visible after a storm had bogged down the ground in the backyard. So the whole situation caused for a flood of questions. Luckily, Hoffman is a spooky enthusiast, as you can see with her love for cryptids, so she wasn't all that mad about it. 

The best part of the story, however, is what happened after she posted a TikTok about it. 

Discovering the Skulls

In the TikToks she is so puzzled. At first she's thinking maybe her eyes are playing tricks on her and those can't possibly be skulls. But as she goes outside to further investigate, she assures herself they are definitely skulls—just not real ones. Still, as she walks around the muddy ground that has stone skulls popping up out of it, she can't stopping wondering: Why??

Luckily, TikTok's algorithm brought this video to the pervious owner of the house @safesthaven44 and all was revealed.

TikTok eventually brought this video to the “for you” page of the previous owner who could not believe her eyes. She decided to post a stitch in response to the video. There she explains that her husband created the skulls as stepping stones since the backyard would get so flooded and muddy after every storm. As she's dying from laughter in disbelief that this video made it to here and how funny the situation is to her, she says “I apologize, we forgot that we put those there…” 

However, she also adds “I have always always wanted to add a creepy surprise like this into a house that I move out of… but I never have time… Then I literally fall face first into this one and didn't even know it until it was all over.” 

Did the new house owner and previous house owner become friends between this accidental skull discover? Viewers are sure hopeful. Either way, both of them are just so surprised over finding each other via TikTok.
