Girl Finds an Unhatched Egg on the Ground, Goes Viral for Sharing Its Journey from Egg to Hatchling

It's pretty common for mama birds to push an egg out of her nest for various reasons. It's also common for an egg to accidentally fall out, and once it's out, the mama has no way of bringing it back. But what isn't as common is to find that fallen and abandoned egg perfectly unharmed on the ground after its fall. Usually the fall alone would break the egg, but if that didn't, a predator like a stray cat, fox, or raccoon usually gets its cut lil hands on it.

But TikToker Angel Kim aka @angelkim6690 found a perfectly unharmed egg abandoned on the ground and decided she was going to take care of it.

The Egg:

Initially, she wasn't sure if the little guy was going to pull through. When you have an egg incubating, you can shine a light through it and usually see how it's doing. But when she first got it, she couldn't really see anything. However, she didn't give up and after four days she started to see veins. She got a legit incubator and started keeping that tiny fragile round thing warm. With over 123k views, TikTokers were hooked by the story and needed to know every step of the way what was happening with this little egg.

Still Hasn't Hatched

Kim brought her viewers along every step of the away. She gave a couple of updates, waiting for the egg to hatch. She thought maybe it was a pigeon egg, but didn't know for sure. Her set up for watching the egg incubate was legit. With a camera on it and monitoring the temperature, she was ready. Plus, all her viewers were giving her advice on what to do, and she made sure to do her own research as well.

Eventually, the egg finally hatched.

Hatched!

Hello Baby

Viewers were ecstatic! So much so, that Kim eventually turned off her comment section. She never says why, but in her videos it sounds like she was getting an overflow of advice and probably just didn't want the constant alerts of comments. However, she does also admit she's new to TikTok, so it also could've just been an accident.

She still is unsure what kind of bird it is, but she suspects a dove. People in the comments suggested that and after hours of scouring the internet for dove hatchlings, she thinks her little guy might be one. It's only been a few days, but her follower count keeps growing. So even with the comment section off, you can tell people are dedicated to seeing how the life of this smol baby bird turns out.
