Woman Goes Viral for Overdramatic Freakout When Seals Started to Swim Near Her As She's Ocean Kayaking

Being in the middle of the ocean is already a phobia to some people, so that would be enough for you to understand the fear in this woman's voice. But she chose to go kayaking in the ocean, so it's not thalassophobia that's plaguing her. No, it's the playful seals swimming towards them that's about to put her into a panic attack…

It's understandable to feel freaked out when a wild animal approaches you. You always see those videos of people saving injured owls, or lost wolf pups and it makes you think you'd be able to do that too. But let's be honest, those videos are viral because that is not a likely scenario for someone to encounter and it's more likely if you did encounter it, you'd probably panic at least a little.

A woman kayaking in the middle of the ocean is going viral for her video of her completely losing her shit when a couple of seals are swimming by. The instructor for the group she was kayaking with said that the seals tend to be playful creatures who will sometimes even interact with you. Most of the group she was with seemed calm about that, maybe even excited. But this woman starts FREAKING OUT.

“For those asking what’s going on, you can see seals popping in and out the waves and getting closer to us," she said in the comments. "My anxiety spiked."

“…Why was I the only one freaking out??”

She isn't viral because she is scared of a couple of seals though—because that can understandably be a little anxiety inducing. It's the way she's freaking out. As some seagulls fly around going for fishes and seals are approaching, you just hear this woman go “ahhhh” and then say “oh my god” like a thousand times. She even rams her own kayak right into the instructor's, who looks very confused at her panicked face.

One commenter said, “I’d love to see her reaction if a couple of sharks or orcas had joined the feeding frenzy. She Omigod would Omigod have Omigod passed Omigod out.” Her rapid breathing and repeating of “oh my god” is really driving people on TikTok nuts—so much so that the video has gotten over 400k views, over 14k likes, and 777 comments.

The TikToker responded “Same” to the commenter who wrote, “I am terrified of Open water, takes me about 20 min just to put my feet in. I will not let it pass my ankles 😭 & if seaweed touches me I'm dead☠️.” Which has everyone puzzled why she even agree to go on the trip.

Viewers are so annoyed by her reaction, that she posted a response video as to why she says “oh my god” so much when she gets nervous.
