When sharks attack, you punch back

Mick Fanning was in the middle of a surfing competition in South Africa when a shark interrupted the proceedings, according to CNN.

"I had this feeling that something was behind (me), and all of a sudden I felt like I started getting pulled underwater. And then the thing came up and I was on my board and it was right there," he said.

"I had this thought, 'What if it comes around for another go at me?'" he said. "Before I knew it, the boat was there. ... I can't believe it, I was tripping out. I'm totally tripping out."

The shark cut his leash to his surfboard and tried to pull him under, but Fanning said he actually, seriously, punch the shark in the back to get it away.

    Luckily, no one was hurt.

A picture of a black cop helping a white supremacist into shade went viral

Members of the active Ku Klux Klan rallied in South Carolina July 18 to protest the recent lowering of the state capitol's confederate flag.

The scene was a tense one as protesters to the rally showed up en masse and the temperature raised to the upper 90s. Intermittent clashes between the two groups brought most of the attention on the day of the demonstration.

However, after the affair, this photo of Officer Leroy Smith assisting a man with a swastika emblazoned on his shirt went around the Internet in a hurry.

This woman gave birth to a 10-pound baby sitting in the passenger seat

This video is a ridiculous thing to behold.

From the crazily quick birth to the even temper of the husband driving the car (as well as working the camera), this video is a shocking display of how quickly life can happen.

    And that baby is enormous.
