Shelter Posts About a Man Waiting 5 Hours Just to Adopt a Puppy, TikTokers Find Him & Get Their Pup Updates

An animal shelter in Palm Springs, Fl. went viral recently after posting a video about a man waiting for them to open so he could adopt a certain puppy. They never reveal the name of this man, but show him camped out front of their shelter on a folding chair reading a book at 8 a.m., even though they didn't open until 1 p.m. that day. The video is extremely wholesome and ends with the man happily taking the dog home. The video instantly blew up. Seeing how dedicated this old man was in adopting this tiny puppy warmed the hearts of millions—literally, the video has almost 4 millions views.

The viralness of the video was so much that viewers started coming together in the comments to try and find this guy. The weren't satisfied just knowing he adopt this smol dog, they wanted, no NEEDED to get an update on the dog and this man. Are the best friends now? Are they thriving together? What kind of life did this dog end up living after getting adopted by someone who wanted him so badly the camped outside of the shelter for five hours to make sure they got him??

After thousands of comments, eventually one hit the jackpot. “That’s my orthodontist Dr. Brian Eberhart! Very genuine guy!!” a viewer commented. “Tell him the internet loves him!” someone replied. The man said he told the doctor and that he was surprised to have gone viral. Many responded to the comment begging for him to request the doctor create his own TikTok and posts updates of the pup. Eventually, someone posted that he did and linked out to the retired orthodontist's freshly created TikTok profile he made just to satisfy the need of people to know about this pup's life.

Turns out he named the puppy Leo and they are already best friends. The retired orthodontist spends all his days with the pup and it's adorable. His videos show him cuddling with the little guy, teaching him how to play fetch, and even taking good care of his pup's teeth. TikTokers are so happy that they made his videos viral by the very first one.

In the videos it's easy to see how in love this man is with his new puppy. Viewers are ecstatic at how much he's spoiling the cute little rescue pup. Many commenters thank him for rescuing and not shopping. And, of course, many people from the original shelter's video are now his followers on TikTok. There's just nothing more wholesome than seeing an old man so dedicated to his pup—especially, when the world got to see how dedicated he was even before the pup was officially adopted.
