Cat has Kittens, Sister Cat Wholesomely Steps Up to Become the Most Helpful Auntie

Usually, mama cats are on their own when it comes to parenting (other than the humans helping out, of course). The dad cat rarely sticks around to help out with any raising of the kittens. But that doesn't stop mama from being the best cat mom she can be. In fact, mama cats tend to like it that way. They are the mother and they don't trust anyone else to get the job done well. However, TikToker @claar_kids recently shared a video of her cat who just became a mama. The video shows the mama feeding her kittens and then a second cat grooming the mama cat. Many viewers were shocked and delighted to see a dad cat stepping into a fatherly role finally, but that's just not the case here. It is actually the cat's sister that's helping out the new mama. 

Auntie Cat to the Rescue

The two female cats are sisters and extremely bonded. It's no surprise that if one cat's motherly instincts has come out, that the other's did too What is pretty surprising, however, is that the mama cat is allowing her sister cat to give a helping hand. Usually the mama cat will swat another adult cat away from her kittens, just as a protecting instinct. Her not swatting her sister cat away just shows how close these two kitties are. Now these kittens have two mothers and it's absolutely wholesome and adorable.

It's not just the auntie cat making sure mama cat is groomed and relaxed, though that is a big part of it. Auntie cat is also there to snuggle the kittens to make sure they stay warm and clean them up too. The videos show the two sisters curled together with the kittens all cuddled up in-between them napping. It's absolutely adorable and shows just how strong a sisterly bond can be.
