Analyze Away, Bronies

So if Luna is the element of loyalty then why did she turn against Princess Celestia? Unless Luna's loyalty is to her moon and her night time and she felt that Celestia had betrayed her first by trying to outshine her. Or should we be more concerned that Luna is the element of laughter?
