Give Federation Force A Chance
The animosity towards this game is unreal. There's even a petition to have Nintendo cancel it all together! We don't even know much about the game yet. It could have a decent story mode and be a fun online multiplayer FPS for the 3DS in Metroid fashion. If it actually turns out to be a good game, you won't care about the chibi-esque art style, the same way you didn't care about the toony style of Wind Waker when it came out. It might not be the Metroid game we wanted, but it's at least SOMETHING. Take this not as a sign of doom, but a sign of hope, knowing that Metroid isn't dead and a new more traditional Metroid game could be on the horizon.
