There are 4 terminals at LaGuardia Airport, which can all be access with the free airport shuttle buses. There are 3 routes: the Purple, Red and Blue routes. They all operate 24 hours a day, and arrive at each station every 8-10 minutes during peak hours, and 15 minutes during off-peak hours. LaGuardia Airport has a map of the bus routes and a live route planner on its website. The buses go to the following terminals:

Purple Route: terminals B, C and D, Daily Parking in terminals C and D.

Red Route: terminals A, C and D, Daily Parking.

Blue Route: terminals A and B, Daily Parking in terminal A and the B Wait Area.

    Bus, Subway and Train

LaGuardia Airport doesn't have a train linking it to New York city, so the most direct way to get there and back on public transport is to take the bus and transfer to the subway or train. There are 5 airport transfer buses: M60 SBS, Q70 SBS LaGuardia Link (which both operate 24 hours a day and have to be paid with a Metrocard or a paper ticket before boarding), Q47, Q72, and Q48. To see which subway and train lines each bus connects with, visit the LaGuardia public transportation page.

The buses do not stop at every terminal in the airport. Passengers should check the MTA website for the route and timetable of each bus, and which subway and train lines it connects with. The best way to plan a route from the airport is to use a route-planner like MTA, Google Maps or Moovit. Travel times depend upon the traffic and availability of public  transport, so passengers should allow up to 2 hours to get into the city.

These services can either be booked online or over the phone before arriving or departing from the airport, or they can be booked at the airport upon arrival (however passengers may have to wait 30-45 minutes for their shuttle to arrive). Some companies may pick up passengers from the pickup area in Terminal B Parking Garage, level 2.

    Taxi

Taxis are available for hire outside every arrivals terminal in LaGuardia Airport and can be booked inside the airport, or hailed outside. If departing from the airport, choose a taxi company and order it online or on the phone. There is no flat rate between the airport and the city, so prices can be around $30 to $70. Prices increase during peak hours and in traffic. See LaGuardia Airport's website for more information.

LaGuardia Airportoffers 10 rental car companies for passengers to choose from. If renting a car from the airport, passengers should contact the rental company before or after arriving and arrange for the company to pick them up at the Rental Car Transfer Point (located in front of Terminal A), where they will then be transferred to the rental car building. If returning a rental car, passengers should drop it off at the Car Rental Shuttle Transfer Point using a navigation app such as Waze, Google Maps or Maps.me. Passengers will be transferred to the airport via the car rental company shuttle bus.
