Mom Epically Saves Excited Toddler Running to Hug a Wild Bear that Snuck into Their Backyard, Shares Security Footage of the Incident

A mother's job is never done. TikToker Remi Lynn recently posted security footage from their backyard showing just how hysterically epic of a mother she is. 

One night, her young toddler, Juniper, was wandering into the backyard. Lynn has a rule of not playing in the backyard for reasons that will become very clear soon. As her daughter starts to wander outside, Lynn closely follows her and is trying to get her back indoors. As they're walking the daughter all of a sudden turns into a run and is squealing in excitement; then the small child says the following terrifying words, “it's a bear!”

Lynn quickly registers what's going on, thinking that if there is a cub, then there is bound to be a mama bear somewhere near by. Without a beat or even a blink of an eye she quickly scoops up her daughter and runs back inside. She's holding her cellphone on speaker phone with the dad the entire time too, and doesn't even drop it. She just scoops up the wild child with one arm, carries her like a football and runs them both back inside all while calmly freaking out—I know that's an oxymoron, but it's just how it was. 

“Well, I was not expecting that! Everyone (bear included) was fine…"

Mom: "Juniper, come back inside…"
Toddler: *excited squeal* “It's a beaaaaar! 🥰🥰🥰”
Mom: “OH SH*T. JUNIPER, COME BACK INSIDE! SH*T. SH*T. SH*T. SH*T.
[swoops toddler and gets inside] 
Mom: "THERE'S A F*CKING BEAR OUTSIDE. AND SHE RAN RIGHT AT IT.”

Aren't kids just the darnedest? What a sweeties. She saw a bear and did what we all want to do, but as adults, know better. She just bee lined for that fuzzy creature with the full intention of giving it a hug. She wanted a taste of what a real bear hug is. Viewers are posting the most hilarious responses. “Better keep a close eye on that one... Survival instincts not so strong,” one person commented. Another viewer posted that, “she belongs in the fb group ‘I’ll definitely die trying to pet something I shouldn’t.’” “Definition of, 'if not friend then why friend shaped', another person posted. ”She’s like.. “y’all got me a real teddy bear!” another posted. And this lady said, “People have no clue how hard it is to keep children alive." Preach. 

Another viewer points out that she technically did what is suggested when you encounter a black bear, which is to make yourself look bigger, charge towards it, and make loud noises—the toddler technically did all of that by her squeals and flailing arms while running towards it. So, Juniper might have run towards a bear to hug it, but she actually was doing the right thing…??
