Women Cringe Communally At The Mortification Of Gyno Appointments

We're technically all strong, independent adult females, and therefore shouldn't dread the idea of going to our gyno. Our health is super important, and we shouldn't neglect it just because we feel uncomfortable. However, the reality is that many women get anxious before going to their gyno appointments, either because they're anticipating pain or just general awkwardness with exposing their bodies. Whether they're poking light fun at gyno appointments or seriously afraid of it, the women of Twitter get what we all inevitably have to go through at the gyno. Scroll down and laugh in solidarity with us.

Imgur User Reveals What Taking A Bath With Cats Is Truly Like

When it comes to privacy, we all know cats are pretty much known for having absolutely no boundaries. We've seen cats who would even climb into their owner's underpants while they take care of their business on the toilet.

Yup. Cats and privacy don't go hand in hand. And the sooner you accept this, the sooner you'll be able to live semi-peacefully as you spend time in the bathroom. Cats not respecting boundaries isn't too bad though, it actually provides promising entertainment. Plus, to see those cute furry faces is never unpleasant!

One Imgur user is no stranger to the whole 'cats, no privacy' situation, as they shared a series of images of it is like tiring to take a bath with two concerned and curious cats by your side.

If you have funny stories such as this of your own pet, share them with us on our new Facebook community group, 'ICanHas Storytime,' a place where our users finally get to tell their stories!

Weird Stuff People Saw In People's Houses

As much as you'd like to hide your shame, hoarded collections of doorknobs and evidences of your eccentric hobbies, sometimes someone else will have to enter your weird home. A plumber, pet sitter or maintenance employee is gonna need to get in there. And they see some really interesting things. Sometimes they don't even need to make it inside. Window washers see some bizarre things through the glass.

Talia Shadwell, shared a viral story on Twitter that spotlights just how little online privacy people have. Specifically, this shows how big tech companies keep a much closer eye on people using their apps than some people might expect. Scary stuff indeed.

Hyper Controlling Mom Wants To Track Kid At College

With all the stuff we've heard of and experienced with helicopter parents in the last few decades, it's refreshing to see someone actually stand up to their mom who's trying to control their social life while not under their roof. Hell, dude, it's college. You don't want to experience college life while your mom watches.

Twitter Thread Will Make You See Why Facebook's 10 Year Challenge Meme Isn't Harmless

Author, Kate O'Neill used her platform on Twitter to encourage people participating in online activities like the recent, trending profile picture aging meme on Facebook, to slow down and think about it critically. O'Neill asks people to consider how willingly posting that information online for Facebook's seemingly sentient algorithm to digest, can have a ripple effect on society as a whole; how that information can be fed into worldwide databases, sold off to advertising agencies, and used to exploit the very people that upload it, without considering the impacts, in the process. She doesn't aim to inspire panic in this Twitter thread, but instead, she wants us to think critically when considering the fast-changing landscape of the world around us. Some solid advice!

For a lot of people, the use and abuse of their personal information by a monolithic data company isn't "hilarious." Privacy being a major concern on his own sites,  you wouldn't think the guy would want to call attention to it. And you'd think if he did, he would at least have a punchline.

Eye-Opening Twitter Thread Will Seriously Freak You Out About Internet Privacy

Sometimes we get pretty complacent about the data we share with our "friends" on the internet. We get sucked into this share culture and forget to check ourselves. This Twitter thread from Dylan Curran is an incredible (and incredibly educational) reminder that we need to watch our internet backs.
